WBO interim heavyweight champion Zhilei “Big Bang” Zhang said today that he intends to apply a lot of pressure to Joseph Parker when they square off on March 8 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Eddie Hearn, the promoter, also takes a gulp of Kool-Aid, thinking Parker is the clear favorite over Zhang. “Big Bang” Zhang should apply pressure to Parker in the same way as Joyce did in order to wear him down and knock him out in order to jolt them out of their delusions.
Parker’s Dangerous Potential
“His actions make him dangerous.” He hasn’t stopped working for a while. Speaking about Joseph Parker, his opponent on March 8, Zhilei Zhang told Fighthype that Parker is dangerous because he is explosive, fast, hungry, and youthful.
Parker is strong, but when his opponents put pressure on him and strike him hard, he doesn’t handle it well. One may argue that Parker’s impressive performance against Wilder was only due to the Bronze Bomber’s movement within the ring and his sparing usage of blows. In their entire bout, he only managed to land 39 punches on Parker.
“Neither of us declines a challenge. That fight on March 8th looks to be exciting, Zhang said. “The strong man against the Zhang man.” Since the announcement of this match, Parker has been on my mind a lot. He’s the only thing on my mind right now.
Pressure Play: The Big Bang Strategy
“I think my current impression of him is that I can see his punches coming before he even throws them.” I think I’ll put a lot of pressure on him when we fight, but for now, it’s over. Really, I’m not sure,” Zhang remarked.
Zhang must attack Parker nonstop, much like Joe Joyce did, and not think about the blows he’s throwing if he wants to defeat Parker.
